Kennedy had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 12-56 to Clarksburg. If Kennedy were hoping to take revenge for the 12-34 loss against Clarksburg the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Kennedy off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Clarksburg a 1-0 record.
Both teams will be heading out of the conference in their next games. Kennedy will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Poolesville at 6:30 PM. Clarksburg are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Urbana next week at 7:00 PM.
