 While Xavier Prep had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21,  25-20.
 Gracie Frederick paced Xavier Prep's offense, picking up 11 kills. Frederick got some help from  Annabel Frederick and her 21 assists.
 Leading Redlands to victory were  Ava Reyes and  Gianna Corona.  Reyes  had 17  digs and three assists, while  Corona  had 11  digs. Those  11  digs gave  Corona a new career-high.  Jocelyn McNairy also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first assist of the season.
Xavier Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Redlands, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record  this season.
 Xavier Prep will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Rancho Mirage  at 6:00  p.m. The  matchup will  give the Saints their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Redlands, they will be taking part in a tournament against Sultana  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
