Regis took a ten-run  defeat the last time they faced off against Colfax, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference.  Ava Skwiercynski was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up  five earned  (and three unearned) runs off   ten  hits. Skwiercynski was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and two  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Bella Borton was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Malia Kassing, who  went 2-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.
Regis' win bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Colfax, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 10-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regis will venture away from home to  take on Columbus Catholic  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Dons will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  victory, something the Ramblers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colfax, they will take on Elmwood/Plum City at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak.
