While losing is never fun, El Dorado can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1164th, while Midland is ranked 374th).
When it comes to explaining why El Dorado lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jay Hudson. Despite the final result, he scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Rodriguez, who scored 9 points.
El Dorado's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Midland, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
El Dorado will head out on the road to face off against Coronado at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Midland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Snyder at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Snyder is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
