The Meadows School hasn't had much luck against Pahrump Valley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Monday, The Meadows School came out on top against Valley by a score of 20-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matches by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Leighton Bekhor and Kate Verdirame did most of the damage at the plate: Bekhor scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Verdirame went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave Bekhor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Audrey Bernhard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
The Meadows School was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .607. They are 8-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Pahrump Valley is ranked highly in their home state and on Monday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Needles. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 15-13. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Mustangs on their field since March 10, 2016.
Kayla Glenn looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
At the plate, Madison Rodriguez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Colon, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
Pahrump Valley's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for The Meadows School, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. The Meadows School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .444. However, it's not like Pahrump Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
