The Continental Pirates had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against North Central by a score of 36-29 on Saturday. That seven point margin sets a new team best for Continental this season.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zach Whitley, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitley has scored all season. Johnny Hicks was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Continental's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13. As for North Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
Continental will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Columbus Grove is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for North Central, they will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
