Huntingtown's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for McDonough, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Huntingtown took their victory against McDonough when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 54-34. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was McDonough's Cailyn Samuel, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
