The Providence Day Chargers will challenge the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence Day knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully North Raleigh Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
Providence Day is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Charlotte Country Day School: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Chargers blew the Buccaneers out of the water with a 49-0 final score. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won nine contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Providence Day didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Charlotte Country Day School to a completion percentage of just 41.7%. The team can thank Quintin McCray for the heroic effort on defense: he. Providence Day has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.63 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.63 in their last three games.
Providence Day's defense didn't let Achilles Morales, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Jace Goodwin was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up 2.5 himself.
Meanwhile, North Raleigh Christian Academy played in-conference for the first time on Thursday and got just the result they were looking for. They took down Ravenscroft 42-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Providence Day better keep an eye on Davin McCoy. He was instrumental in North Raleigh Christian Academy's win, rushing for 324 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. McCoy was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.

Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Providence Day has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 184.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like North Raleigh Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 171.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Providence Day against North Raleigh Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 61-7 win. In that contest, the Chargers amassed a halftime lead of 47-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
