There's no place like home for the West Point Pointers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past Northampton 58-27 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Point also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2022.
Despite the loss, Northampton saw an underclassman step up: Jade Collins scored 9 points. Collins scored a full 33.3% of Northampton's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got West Point back to even at 1-1. As for Northampton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Point will square off against Colonial Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northampton, they will head out on the road to face off against Mathews at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
