The Roxana Shells scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Lebanon 77-34 at home. That looming 77-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Roxana yet this season.
Roxana had a senior duo take command as Chris Walleck dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds and Aidan Briggs scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. It was the first time this season that Walleck pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sean Maberry, who scored eight points along with eight assists.
Roxana's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roxana and the Oilers will face off at 4:15 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Lebanon, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Ramsey is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
