The Western Alamance Warriors can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They breezed by Williams on the road to the tune of 73-36. The victory was nothing new for Western Alamance as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Allie Sykes continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with two steals. She hasn't dropped below 21 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Tina Bowers, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the defeat, Williams saw an underclassman step up: Regan Averett scored 13 points along with six rebounds and six blocks. Scout Winter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Western Alamance has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Williams, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cedar Ridge the next time they take the court. Western Alamance will host Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Williams will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
