Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brock Akin, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Landon Johnston was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
In what's become a running theme this season, Empower College Prep gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Western SciTech 54-17 at home. Winning may never get old, but Empower College Prep sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Heritage Academy Gateway's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Empower College Prep, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4.
