Softball Recap: Conestoga Valley Wins Going Away Against Lebanon

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Manheim Central, Conestoga Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Lebanon Cedars as they made off with a 13-2 victory. Considering the Buckskins have won six games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Julia Rhoads made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Rhoads was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Conestoga Valley let Ava Smith and Bianca Henry run wild. Smith went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Henry went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Henry has posted since back in March. Sophia Mallios also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Conestoga Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Conestoga Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Conestoga Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-2 victory against Berks Catholic on the 12th. As for Lebanon, they have also already played their next contest, a 14-12 loss against Milton Hershey on the 12th.
