The Pikes Peak Christian Eagles will be playing at home against the Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pikes Peak Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully the War Eagles like a good challenge.
Pikes Peak Christian can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kiowa 70-42 at home.
Eddie Harmon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 19 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below three steals for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Noah Sachsenmaier, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Liberty Tree Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in January after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against James Irwin, falling 75-29. While losing is never fun, Liberty Tree Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 317th, while the Jaguars are ranked 96th).
Pikes Peak Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Liberty Tree Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Pikes Peak Christian strolled past the War Eagles in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a score of 71-53. Will Pikes Peak Christian repeat their success, or do the War Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
