The Albuquerque Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Hope Christian Huskies, and things went their way on Friday too. Albuquerque walked away with a 51-42 victory over Hope Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Albuquerque.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Albuquerque to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amariah Valles, who scored 16 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Valles has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaiyah Hawley, who scored eight points.
Hope Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brookelynne Macias, who scored nine points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Zo? Mangrum, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Albuquerque is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Hope Christian, they have fallen quite a ways from their 22-8 record last season and are now at 5-8.
Albuquerque's road trip will continue as they head out to face Santa Fe at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. Hope Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Highland at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Highland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Friday.
