The Vina Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Monday after their sixth straight  loss. They fell  42-32 to Hubbertville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Vina has scored all season.
 Vina's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Kaley Attaway, who  scored eight points along with ten  rebounds.  Khylee Brooks was another key contributor,  scoring six points along with ten  rebounds.
 Vina has  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Hubbertville, the  victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.
 Vina will head out on the road to  challenge  the Wildcats at 1:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. That  game will pit two of the most dominant  guards against one another:  Maggie Mauldin and  Sara Harper. As for Hubbertville, they won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against the Stallions at 5:00  p.m.  on January 30th.
