The Arthur Hill Lumberjacks pushed their score all the way to 66 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Fort Wayne Wayne on the road by a decisive 80-66 margin.
Fort Wayne Wayne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from HJ Dillard, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Dillard hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Jevon Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 assists.
Arthur Hill's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Fort Wayne Wayne, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arthur Hill's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bay City Western at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Bay City Western will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while Arthur Hill is ranked 42nd). As for Fort Wayne Wayne, they will head out on the road to square off against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
