Lakeland Christian Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the South Central Satellites 59-53. The Cougars' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Micah Martin, who posted 18 points. Aaron Gause was another key player, putting up 15 points.

South Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jay Huerta, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 20 points. Huerta is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayten Strauch, who put up 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Lakeland Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for South Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Lakeland Christian Academy will welcome Bethany Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bethany Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.3 points per game this season. As for South Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Central is facing Glenn at the right time seeing as Glenn is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
