Despite the defeat, Lago Vista had strong showings from Scotlyn Stamos, who scored 15 points, and Mia Kinslow, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Lago Vista struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Blanco racked up ten.
Blanco's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mina Broyles, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Broyles is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carleigh Dotson, who scored 5 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Lago Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Blanco, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
Lago Vista will be playing at home against Austin Achieve at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Austin Achieve is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Blanco, they will square off against San Saba at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. San Saba presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Blanco in Texas (San Saba is ranked 131st, while Blanco is ranked 954th).
