Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gateway). Everything went their way against the Island Coast Gators on Friday as the Gateway Eagles made off with a 10-0 victory. It was an even better day for Emily Barber as she scored four goals for her team.

The win (which was Gateway's third in a row) raised their record to 10-8-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Island Coast, they dropped their record down to 3-15-1 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Gateway has already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Palmetto Ridge on the 24th. As for Island Coast, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against DeSoto County on the 22nd.
