Marshfield took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Plymouth South Panthers as Marshfield made off with a 7-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.
Cam Bonarrigo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Bonarrigo was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, Liliana Newman was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshfield is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Rockland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plymouth South, they will take on Falmouth at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
