Meanwhile, Tsosie struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. At the plate, Ayze scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Tsosie scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-6. That's the most runs Tsosie has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Kennon Sorrell was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mackaden Arthur, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-6.
Chinle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Window Rock only posted an OBP of .240.
Chinle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pinon, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
