The Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans will take on the Cornerstone Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Thursday, Legacy School of Sport Sciences really took it to Richland for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-22 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Titans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Raiders are ranked 611th).

Legacy School of Sport Sciences' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Brown led the charge by picking up 151 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 100.9 receiving yards per game. Julian Shepherd was another key rusher, rushing for 113 yards and one score on only 12 carries.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 208 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 89.7 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 151.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Christian). They breezed past Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin to the tune of 62-6 on Thursday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-0.
Cornerstone Christian found their leader in sophomore Jaylen McKane, who rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. McKane is becoming a predictor of the Warriors' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 5-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Malcolm Carter, who threw for 113 yards and three TDs on only eight passes.
Cornerstone Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drake Carroll and Xavier Gardner. Cornerstone Christian received some extra help from Jacob Veasey, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Cornerstone Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.2 points over those games. As for Legacy School of Sport Sciences, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. Legacy School of Sport Sciences has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 397.2 passing yards per game. Cornerstone Christian, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 169 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.
Legacy School of Sport Sciences strolled past Cornerstone Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a score of 34-16. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Warriors' Christian Kent, who rushed for 123 yards and a pair of scores. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Titans to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
