The biggest upset of the week belonged to Los Altos, who took down 830th ranked Los Altos, 14-10.
Fremont was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in El Camino. The Firebirds defeated Cupertino 36-28 earlier in the week.
Fremont's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ricky Teo threw for 90 and two touchdowns and Keenan Smith had 60 yards receiving. On the ground Joeseph De Los Santos chipped in 144 yards. Sam Kanongata helped Fremont's passing attack out by catching one ball for 17 yards.
Harker's Spenser Quash and Robert Deng have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Quash has thrown for 1459 yards this season, while Deng has 35 catches for 527 yards. Ron Demonner's team's Smith leads the league in rushing yards with 898.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lynbrook takes on the Pioneers. The Vikings are currently in sixth, while Cupertino is in first.
Chris Oswald 's team moved up to 650 from 723 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in El Camino. The Pioneers were able to make the jump by falling to the Firebirds 36-28.
