Omaha Westside (Omaha, Neb.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 42-27 victory over
Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.) on Saturday. The Warriors took the lead for good when they ran for a touchdown.
After nabbing the lead on a touchdown pass by
Christian Hagan, the Titans went into halftime with a 14-13 lead. The Warriors took the lead to win the game on a touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring seven points in the third, Omaha Westside still trailed by seven points going into the fourth quarter. But 36 points in the fourth helped OW pull out the victory.
A 44-14 Omaha Westside victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Papillion-LaVista South defeated Omaha South 49-7 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for the Warriors, who lost to Millard North last week, 42-35. The loss ended Papillion-LaVista South's three-game winning streak.
