With a playoff win on the line, Morse rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took down the Grace Lancers 57-40. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Morse found their leader in sophomore Ethan Esmailian, who rushed for 66 yards and one TD, and also threw for 81 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The win (which was Morse's fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.4 points over those games. As for Grace, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
Looking ahead, Morse will square off against Winters at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them. Grace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
