The biggest upset of the week belonged to Taylor, who took down 379th ranked Madisonville, 13-9.
Navasota extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region III District 18 this week by beating Caldwell, 58-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Navasota's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kadarius Baker threw for 198 and four touchdowns and Solomon McGinty had 144 yards receiving. On the ground Keyshawn Philio chipped in 82 yards. Hunter Sparkman helped Navasota's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Navasota's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rattlers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Baker has thrown for 2672 yards and 32 touchdowns this season, while McGinty has 55 catches for 1174 yards. Xavier Creeks leads the league in rushing with 457 yards.
Lee Fedora's team's Austin Collins needs only 16 receiving yards against the Ducks to crack 1,000 for the season. He has recorded 48 catches for 984 yards this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Rattlers take on Taylor. Navasota is currently in first, while Rusty Purser's team is in fourth.
The Ducks moved up to 525 from 633 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 3A Region III District 18. Taylor was able to make move up by defeating the Mustangs 13-9.
