Palmer is 0-10 against Nebraska Christian since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Palmer Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Nebraska Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Palmer has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Nebraska Christian will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Palmer, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-33 loss to Cedar Bluffs.
Meanwhile, Nebraska Christian was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past Elba 67-38 on the road. Nebraska Christian pushed the score to 57-29 by the end of the third, a deficit Elba had little chance of recovering from.
Oliver Herman and Micah Perdew were among the main playmakers for Nebraska Christian as the former scored 15 points along with seven assists and five steals and the latter scored 27 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Perdew has scored at least a third of Nebraska Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quentin Herman, who scored eight points.
Palmer's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.5 points per game. As for Nebraska Christian, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14.
Palmer was taken down by Nebraska Christian 74-14 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Palmer was down 35-10.
