The Hanford West Huskies will challenge the Kerman Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hanford West made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Selma, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Huskies blew past the Bears 19-11 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Huskies as they're now sitting on three straight.

Hanford West got a massive performance out of Kennidy Perryman, who went 4-for-5 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three doubles. Those six RBI gave Perryman a new career-high. Karmen Vazquez was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Hanford West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .638. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kerman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let Washington Union get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Roxy Alvarez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Sydney Yep and Jaymee Hick did most of the damage at the plate: Yep went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Hick went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Grewal, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Kerman is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Hanford West, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
Both Hanford West and Kerman just can't seem to miss. The Huskies have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Kerman struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
