Basketball Recap: D'hanis Piles Up the Points Against Medina

D'Hanis won the last time they faced Medina and things went their way on Saturday too. The D'Hanis Cowboys breezed by the Medina Bobcats to the tune of 68-33. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead D'Hanis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ruger Cote, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 boards gave Cote a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Cross, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds.

D'Hanis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive contests.

D'Hanis has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points over those games. As for Medina, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

D'Hanis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-62 defeat against Rocksprings on the 4th. As for Medina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 86-41 loss against Utopia on the 4th.
