The Stewart County Rebels fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They managed a 47-43 win over Clarksville Christian on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stewart County also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Several Clarksville Christian players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jesiah Sutton, who scored 13 points. Micah Judd was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Stewart County's victory bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Clarksville Christian, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stewart County will square off against Henry County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henry County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stewart County in Tennessee (Henry County is ranked 201st, while Stewart County is ranked 424th). Clarksville Christian and Christian Community will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 4th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
