Softball Recap: Halifax Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Halifax came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Greenwood on Friday as they made off with a 15-1 victory. Halifax might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kenzie Readinger made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Readinger was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Bebe Roland was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. Another player making a difference was Madison Roland, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Halifax kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Halifax's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Greenwood, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
