Softball Game Preview: Lewisburg Patriots vs. Clinton Arrows

Lewisburg is a perfect 6-0 against Clinton since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Lewisburg Patriots will square off against the Clinton Arrows at 1:00 p.m.

Last Friday, Lewisburg got the win against Clinton by a conclusive 15-1. The Patriots have beaten the Arrows the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Arrows has come to flipping the script.

Emma Abrams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits.

At the plate, Anna Etter and Leona-Klaire Stokes did most of the damage at the plate: Etter went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Stokes went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most triples Stokes has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Johnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Lewisburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now hit at least eight hits in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

The victory made it two in a row for Clinton and bumps their season record up to 3-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13 runs. As for Lewisburg, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Lewisburg took their victory against Clinton when the teams last played last Friday by a conclusive 15-1. Does Lewisburg have another victory up their sleeve, or will Clinton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
