The Daleville Warhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-41 to Opp. Daleville has not had much luck with Opp recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Opp's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cuba Wiggins led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 22 rebounds. Wiggins hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Dionna Stoudemire, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Daleville's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-10. As for Opp, their win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daleville will take on New Brockton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Opp, they will head out on the road to challenge Pike County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
