Kalama proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seton Catholic Cougars, sneaking past 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chinooks also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Emily Capen paced Kalama's offense, picking up 21 kills. Capen got some help from Jacey Hutchinson and her 43 assists. Zella Storedahl and Ady Davenport kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Kalama's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Seton Catholic, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.
