The Oakland Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Oakland Tech Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
Oakland scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Castlemont on the road to the tune of 100-15. Given Oakland's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Castlemont is ranked 932nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oakland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Da'sean Armstrong, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Armstrong has scored all season. Couraji West was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Meanwhile, Oakland Tech earned a 57-50 win over McClymonds on Friday.
Oakland is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. As for Oakland Tech, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
Oakland came up short against Oakland Tech in their previous meeting back in January, falling 67-61. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Oakland Tech's Ardarius Grayson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 24 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists.
