The matchup was Gerken's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Lindsay May was another key contributor, scoring six points along with four steals.
Ottawa-Glandorf's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Liberty-Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
