It was a proper cat-fight when Hendersonville duked it out withPatton on Tuesday. The Hendersonville Bearcats put the hurt on the Patton Panthers with a sharp 85-65 win. The Bearcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Hendersonville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Martiste Mills led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave Mills a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Caden Thomas, who went 10 of 12 en route to 20 points and six rebounds.

The victory (which was Hendersonville's fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.8 points per game. As for Patton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hendersonville will face off against R-S Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hendersonville is on a three-game streak of home wins, R-S Central a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Patton, they will challenge Polk County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Patton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Polk County likes a good challenge.
