Spring Creek found their leader in underclassman Brennan Chambers, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Chambers has scored at least 25% of Spring Creek's points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Rose, who scored ten points.
Union's defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-8. As for Spring Creek, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union will face off against West Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Spring Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Ayden - Grifton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ayden - Grifton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
