After losing to the Walnut Grove Warriors the last time they met, the Central Gwinnett Black Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Central Gwinnett came out on top against Walnut Grove by a score of 63-52 on Saturday.
Timothy Smith was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Donte Golden, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 assists.
The win got Central Gwinnett back to even at 7-7. As for Walnut Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Gwinnett will face off against Collins Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walnut Grove, they will head out on the road to face off against Seckinger at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seckinger has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 229 points over their last three matches.
