The Berkshire Badgers will square off against the Wickliffe Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Berkshire is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
If Berkshire beats Wickliffe with eight runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Badgers beat Chagrin Falls on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. The victory was nothing new for the Badgers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Moira Wonders made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

Berkshire's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Badgers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Wickliffe, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Berkshire continue to outrun the ball?
Berkshire got the 'W' in their previous meeting on Saturday against Wickliffe by a conclusive 9-0 score. Do the Badgers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
