Lakeview will take on Poland Seminary at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeview will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Lakeview will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating South Range, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 9-4 on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

04/28/25 vs McKinley | 5 |
04/24/25 vs Champion | 6 |
04/21/25 @ Lewisville | 8 |
04/19/25 vs Forbush | 5 |
Isabella Isenberg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Kalyssa Werner was incredible, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Annaliese Dejulio, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lakeview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Poland Seminary got themselves on the board against McKinley on Monday, but McKinley never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Red Dragons with a sharp 16-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Madison Medvec was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Medvec was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Poland Seminary got a massive performance out of Kylee Hudran, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that Hudran has hit this season. Elliana Thompson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Poland Seminary has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Lakeview, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lakeview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .418. However, it's not like Poland Seminary struggles in that department as they've averaged .391. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lakeview came out on top in a nail-biter against Poland Seminary in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 16-15. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
