Volleyball Recap: First Baptist Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

First Baptist Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Community School of Naples Seahawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

First Baptist Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Community School of Naples to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-14.

First Baptist Academy can attribute much of their success to Laila Stewart, who had 12 digs and seven assists. That's the most digs Stewart has posted since back in October of 2024.

Claire Byerly and Mia Ringhofer certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Byerly had 14 digs and one assist, while Ringhofer had eight kills and four digs. Ringhofer is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season.

First Baptist Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Community School of Naples, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

First Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Palmetto Ridge on the 2nd. As for Community School of Naples, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Gulf Coast on the 2nd.
