Seton has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on Christ Chapel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Christ Chapel Academy likes a good challenge.
In what's become a running theme this season, Seton gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 78-36 win over The Covenant on the road. Given Seton's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while The Covenant is ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Christ Chapel Academy pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-56 to Immanuel Christian.
Despite the defeat, Christ Chapel Academy had strong showings from David Neaves, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Sean Michael Robinson, who scored 15 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robinson has scored all season. Alie Bangura was another key contributor, scoring three points along with three blocks and two steals.
Seton's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Christ Chapel Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
Everything came up roses for Seton against Christ Chapel Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-25 win. Will Seton repeat their success, or does Christ Chapel Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
