There's no place like home for the Orland Trojans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 71-44 win over Oroville at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Orland also won the last time the pair played back in January.
It was another big night for Zach Story, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Carlson, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Oroville saw an underclassman step up: Kevin Taylor scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Jantzen Demitrial was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Orland's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Oroville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-17.
Orland will be playing in front of their home fans against Corning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Orland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. Oroville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
