5A Portland recap Oct. 9, 2012
Wilson extended the longest winning streak in 5A Portland this week by beating Hood River Valley, 41-16. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Cleveland took down Benson Tech 57-18 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Roosevelt's Kimane Domena and Antonio Bella have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Domena has thrown for 862 yards this season, while Bella, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 31 catches for 635 yards. Wilson's Cory Hincks leads the league in rushing yards with 992.
Ken Duilio's team's Hincks needs only eight yards against the Techmen next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Madison takes on the Warriors. The Senators are currently in third, while Cleveland is in fourth.
Gary Sletmoe's team led 5A Portland in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on Benson Tech.
