Even though Marina has not done well against Pacific Grove recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Marina came out on top against Pacific Grove by a score of 63-54.
Marina's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julius Robinson, who scored 19 points. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Bonnard Webb, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, St. Francis' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 73-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seaside. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Braun is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in the last three games he's played. Marina has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for St. Francis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-20 record this season.
Friday's match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Robinson and Braun. Robinson has been dynamite this season: he has averaged 24 points, 1.2 steals, and 2.9 rebounds. For his part, Braun has averaged 20.4 points and 1.1 steals.
Marina didn't have too much breathing room in their match against St. Francis in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 69-65 victory. Does Marina have another victory up their sleeve, or will St. Francis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
