Skyview is a perfect 10-0 against Camas since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Storm will face off against the Papermakers at 4:30 p.m. Skyview is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.
Skyview's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Union 17-0. The result was nothing new for the Storm, who have now won 11 games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Maddie Milhorn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addy Harmier, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taylor Lies, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.
Skyview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Camas came up short against Battle Ground on Monday and fell 8-5. The Papermakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Camas saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Chambers, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.
Skyview's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Camas, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Camas' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Skyview has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Camas, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Skyview's sizable advantage in that area, the Papermakers will need to find a way to close that gap.
Skyview took their win against Camas in their previous matchup on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-3 score. Do the Storm have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Papermakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
