The Griswold Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-42 to Windham. Griswold lost against Windham in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-61 score last time.
Windham's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tahj Jones led the charge by scoring ten points along with seven assists and five rebounds. Anden Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Griswold's loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3. As for Windham, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Griswold will head out on the road to face off against Montville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montville and Griswold are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. Windham and Enfield will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at. Enfield comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
