Bishop Moore is a perfect 3-0 against Mount Dora since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hornets will square off against the Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. Bishop Moore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Bishop Moore fell victim to Timber Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolves. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost three in a row.

Nate Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Mount Dora waltzed into their game on Monday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They never let the Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hurricanes yet this season.
Walker Bland looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Preston Rhodes and Noah Macinness did most of the damage at the plate: Rhodes went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Macinness went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Rhodes has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Smith, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Mount Dora kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.
Mount Dora pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Bishop Moore, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
Bishop Moore's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's matchup. The Hornets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Mount Dora, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bishop Moore continue to outrun the ball?
Bishop Moore was able to grind out a solid victory over Mount Dora when the teams last played back in March, winning 10-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
